Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kalaburagi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, marking a significant milestone in India’s railway network on 12th March 2024. This new service aims to enhance connectivity between the two cities, offering passengers a comfortable and efficient mode of transportation. The Vande Bharat will cover the distance in eight hours at less than half the cost. The Solapur-Hassan Express currently holds the title of the fastest train connecting the two cities, completing the 543 km journey in 9 hours and 10 minutes. The Vande Bharat will take just eight hours. While its state-of-the-art amenities and focus on passenger convenience, the Vande Bharat Express promises a seamless commuting experience for travelers.

SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express timings
Train number 22232 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 2.20 pm and reach Kalaburagi at 11.30 pm everyday except on Thursdays. Train number 22232 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 2.20 pm and reach Kalaburagi at 11.30 pm.
SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express stoppages
The commercial stoppages will be at Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Mantralayam Road, Wadi and Raichur in both directions. The train will have eight coaches, including one Executive Class, the South Western Railway (SWR) said.
