PM Kisan 17th Installment Update: Beneficiary farmers are eagerly awaiting the 17th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. The installment of the PM-Kisan scheme may be released in the last week of May. However, the date has not yet been finalized by the government. But, If new beneficiary farmers can register to get benefits of the scheme existing beneficiaries have to do e-Kyc for the next installment.
The 16th installment was released in February
The 16th installment of PM Kisan was released by PM Narendra Modi this year in February for which over Rs 21,000 crore was released to more than 9 crore farmers. The 15th installment was released on 15 November 2023. Under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, which amounts to Rs 6,000 annually. Farmers get the sum in three installments – April-July, August-November, and December-March, directly in their bank account.
How to register for the PM Kisan scheme
– First of all, you have to go to the official website of PM Kisan.
– Find Farmers Corner on the home page.
– Choose ‘New Farmer Registration’ option.
– Next, you have to enter your Aadhaar number.
– Select your state by entering the captcha code and then proceed with the process.
– Next, fill in your complete personal information in this form.
– In addition, you have to enter your bank account details and farming-related information.
– After that you can submit the form. Your verification will be done and after that, your name will be included in the list of beneficiary farmers. If you have any problem, then you can call the helpline number.
e-KYC is Mandatory
The government has also made many rules related to the scheme. According to these rules, the benefit of the scheme will be available only to those farmers who have done e-KYC. The government has made e-KYC mandatory.

How to do e-KYC for PM Kisan Yojana
– Farmers can easily get e-KYC done through biometrics by visiting their nearest CSC center.
– E-KYC is also being done for PM Kisan Yojana in many banks.
– Apart from this, if the farmer wants, he can easily get e-KYC done through the PM Kisan Portal (pmkisan.gov.in). In this, e-KYC will be done through OTP.
– E-KYC can also be easily done through the PM Kisan Mobile App launched by the government.
