Telegram has recently rolled out several new updates that bring a bunch of new features to enhance user privacy. As per the platform, these new improvements offer Telegram users more control over their profiles, interactions, and communication within channels and groups, reported India Today. So, without much ado, let’s have a detailed look at the new features Telegram has added to the platform.
Channels: A new ‘Channels’ tab is added in Telegram’s search interface that displays users the channels they follow and recommends other channels with related content to make content discovery easier.
My Profile: Users may view their profile and edit their information in the ‘My Profile’ section within Settings. Users may also pin up to three stories at the top of their profile to highlight important moments or achievements.

Collectables on Your Profile: Channel owners may now add their channels to their profile, providing a thorough preview of the most recent post above their bio and allowing visitors to access their content with a single touch. In addition to that, collectible username owners can link them to their Telegram accounts or channels, providing information on when the collectable was obtained and its worth.
Birthdays: Telegram now lets users add their birthday to their profile. Contacts will be greeted with animated confetti and balloons if they visit a profile on a user’s birthday, whereas a birthday banner will appear in the chat list when it’s someone else’s birthday.
Mass Moderation for Groups: By selecting multiple messages for moderation actions and limiting user permissions without instantly banning them, group admins can perform mass moderation. Recent actions are more compact, with comparable actions clustered together and better highlighting for search terms.
Improved Recent Actions: Channel admins can control the types and maximum number of reactions that each post can receive, keeping things organised. Premium users get the option to unhide ads to support channel owners by viewing them.

Share Location Indefinitely: Users can share their live location with people or groups indefinitely, allowing others to track their journey and set notifications for when they arrive. Telegram users may also regulate notifications for responses to their messages and stories using reaction notification settings.
Profile Pictures in Forwarded Messages: Forwarded messages now include the profile image of the user from where they were forwarded, making conversations more identifiable. Premium users may add custom and animated emojis to polls for more fun and creativity in interactions.
View Stories Anonymously: Premium users can start Stealth Mode to view stories anonymously, either through the story menu or by pressing and holding a story in their feed. This mode hides their views for a short period of time.
Swipe for Next Topic: Users in groups with topics enabled may swipe to go on to the next unread topic, making it easier to stay updated on different conversations. Moreover, Telegram’s desktop software supports Instant View for websites, which allows rapid and seamless page loading with embedded media.
