Bengaluru: Daily commuters may face problems and traffic snarls during peak hours as some routes have been closed due to Namma Metro construction work. Due to the ongoing construction, the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has issued an advisory for commuters. Notably, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has started work to lay a 220 kV cable along the metro line. According to the advisory, construction work will begin from Salarpuria Soft Zone on the Ibbalur service road towards Central Mall, Bellandur. The work has already commenced from 11 pm to 6 am daily for the next 20 days.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory
Due to the construction work and the disruption on the 620-metre stretch of the road, traffic snarl is expected on the main road. However, the traffic police have ruled out major congestion issues during peak hours.
“Slow moving traffic from Ibbalur towards Bellandur due to BMRCL cable laying Construction Work (11 PM – 6AM everyday),” the advisory read.
