The much-awaited sequel to Prabhas’ action thriller Salaar 2 is set to go on the floors by the end of May. Pinkvilla has exclusively reported that the makers are aiming to release in 2025. Well, nothing has been made official till now. However, the entertainment portal has mentioned that shooting will start from Hyderabad.
Pinkvilla’s report says, “Salaar 2 is set to go on floors by the end of May with a 10-day schedule at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. “Over the last 3 months, Prashanth and his team of writers have enhanced the script of Salaar 2 based on the feedback for the first part and are now all set to take the film on floors by the end of May. The journey takes off with Prabhas and Prithviraj joining in for a 10-day schedule in Hyderabad,” revealed a source close to the development.”
The source further informed that a major part of Salaar 2 will be shot this year, with residual portions in the first quarter of 2025. “Prashanth Neel will be shooting for the film in Hyderabad and the outskirts of Bangalore. While Salaar has set up the conflict, the real story begins in Salaar 2 as it’s about the fight between Prabhas and Prithviraj. The politics and inter-character dynamics will also get clarified in the sequel, which rides high on confrontations and action,” the source added.
Earlier, asreported by Siasat.com, Kiara Advani might join the cast of Salaar 2 as the female lead. Reportedly, the Bollywood actress will be playing a “significant” role in the movie, details about which are not known as of now. Additionally, she is also likely to feature in a special song with Prabhas in the movie. However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding Kiara joining Salaar 2 as of now.

The film earned over Rs 500 crore at the global box office. Later, the makers confirmed the sequel of the film when it was also revealed that Salaar 2 will be the story of the impact of the political scenario in Khansaar due to two of the best friends – Prabhas and Prithviraj, who will be turning biggest enemies.
