WhatsApp users recently have faced issues while sending videos from their phones. Whenever they try to send videos on the messaging app from an Android phone, they get a message saying, “Can’t send this video.” Reports suggest WhatsApp has been hit with a bug that has caused this problem and people are finding it hard to send the videos.

WhatsApp has not talked about the concerns or acknowledged the issue so far but a fix might be necessary to get the feature working again.

Many users have shared their complaints on Reddit forums, where most of them are using an Android phone. The locally-stored media content or videos shot from the camera for sharing are facing these issues.

We tested the feature on various WhatsApp versions, including the latest beta version but did not face any issues while sending videos on Android phones. It is likely that the bug is affecting select devices or select WhatsApp versions but we won’t get to know much about it till the messaging platform shares details if it does plan to do so. Many claim that downgrading the WhatsApp version to 2.24.8.85 should help them temporarily fix the issue.

WhatsApp has also been in the news with a concerning development for its users in India. The Meta-owned platform is contesting a legal matter around IT rules, which demands that apps like WhatsApp make its message traceable. WhatsApp for its part says that if the Indian government pushes for these changes, it will exit the Indian market, which means WhatsApp will not work in the country.
