Your voter ID card is one of many important documents that you can store and easily view online. One such platform is DigiLocker, an online digital locker service offered by the government that lets users safely store and retrieve critical documents.
As polling for the Lok Sabha elections begins on April 19, here is how you can get your DigiLocker digital voter ID card:

Make an account on DigiLocker: The first thing to do if you don’t have a DigiLocker account. Go to the DigiLocker website, and register with your cellphone number.
You will receive a one-time password (OTP) for verification after entering the phone number.
Setup your DigiLocker account: After the mobile number has been verified, you can create a DigiLocker account by entering the required information, which includes your name, birth date and Aadhaar number, which is optional.
Go to the Section marked “Issued Documents”: Once your account has been set up, access your DigiLocker dashboard. On the menu on the left, look for the “Issued Documents” area.

Choose “Election Commission of India”: You can obtain your digital papers from the list of companies listed in the “Issued Documents” section. From the user list, choose “Election Commission of India”.
Find your Voter ID card: After choosing the Election Commission of India as the issuer, your digital voter ID card ought to appear in the list of papers that are available. Press it to continue.
Verify Your Information (if Needed): Before receiving your voter ID card, you might need to confirm your information depending on how well your state has integrated DigiLocker. If asked, confirm your information by following the on-screen instructions.

Download your digital Voter ID card: You can get your digital voter ID card by downloading it once your information has been verified. Select “Save” or “Download” to save the file to your mobile device.
Access your Voter ID card anytime: After downloading, you may use your DigiLocker account to access your digital voter ID card at any time. You can view, print or share it as is needed.
Ensure the security of DigiLocker account: Make sure your DigiLocker account is secure by setting up two-factor authentication (if it is available) and using strong passwords.
