Bhagya Laxmi Scheme: The Central Government and the State Government run various schemes for the daughters of the country so that they can be provided social and financial security. From the Beti Padhao Beti Bachao Yojana to the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the government emphasizes on securing the future of the daughters of the country through these schemes.
A similar scheme is being run in Uttar Pradesh as well, which aims to end female feticide and promote the education of girls.
Uttar Pradesh government is running the Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme for the daughters of the state. Under this scheme, on the birth of a daughter, a bond of Rs 50,000 is provided by the government to the families.

What is the eligibility criteria for the Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme
The Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana can be availed by BPL or below poverty line families. The government intends to improve the condition of daughters in families and society below the poverty line. In addition, financial help is also provided to the daughter’s parents.
Benefits
Under the Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana, a bond of Rs 50,000 will be given to the family where a daughter is born. Let us tell you that the value of this bond will be Rs 2 lakh when the girl turns 21 years of age. At the time of birth of a girl child, financial assistance of Rs 5,100 is provided to the mother. This amount is directly transferred to the bank accounts.
It is worth noting that the benefit of this scheme is only for two daughters of the same family. Families with more than two daughters are not eligible for the benefits of this scheme.

Required Documents
To avail the benefits of Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana, it is necessary to have the following documents- Firstly, it is mandatory for the beneficiary to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Also, it is mandatory to have documents such as daughter’s birth certificate, Aadhar card of parents and daughter, ration card, income certificate, caste certificate, home address, bank account passbook, mobile number and passport size photo.

How to apply for Bhagya Laxmi Scheme
To avail the benefits of Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana, you will have to download the application form from the official website https://mahilakalyan.up.nic.in/ and print it. After this, all the details asked in the form will have to be filled. Submit your form by visiting the nearest Anganwadi center or Women and Child Development office. After investigation being carried out the benefits of the scheme will be initiated.
