ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS:
- Go to the official website of the National Voters’ Service Portal and download Form 6.
- Fill out the form and submit it to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) in your area.
- Your application will be checked, and if everything is okay, your name will be added to the voter list. There are three types of voters: general electors, overseas electors (NRI), and service electors.
CHECKING REGISTRATION:
- After applying, you can check if you’re registered by going to the election website and entering your reference ID.
- You can also make any necessary changes to your details on the website.

OFFLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS:
- Visit the nearest Booth Level Officer (BLO) and get Form 6.
- Fill it out and submit it along with your Aadhar card, a document showing your birth date, and a graduation certificate. If you don’t have any of these, you’ll need to explain why in an affidavit.
- You’ll also need two passport-sized photos and a photocopy of a family member’s voter ID. If no family member has one, you can use a neighbor’s ID.
- Once you’ve submitted everything, the verification department will check it and give you a voter ID.

REQUIRED FORMS:
- General voters use Form 6. First-time voters or those changing constituencies also use this form.
- Non-resident Indians (NRIs) use Form 6A.
