TVS iQube Price Hiked: TVS Motor Company has recently adjusted the prices of its iQube electric scooter after the end of the FAME II subsidy. The updated prices showcase a slight increase due to the introduction of the new Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024, which will be in effect until July this year. This initiative aims to further encourage the adoption of electric vehicles by offering incentives.
The TVS iQube is now available at a starting price of Rs 1.46 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 1.56 lakh for the iQube S variant (ex-showroom). However, after factoring in the Rs 10,000 EMPS subsidy, the revised ex-showroom prices stand at Rs 1.36 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 1.46 lakh for the iQube S variant. Notably, TVS has also absorbed some of the costs, resulting in a reduction of Rs 8,925 and Rs 5,670 on the ex-showroom prices for the respective variants.

The TVS iQube boasts a straightforward design and impressive performance and is known for its popularity among families. Both the iQube STD and iQube S models are equipped with a 3.4 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 100 km. These models feature a self-developed battery management system, while being powered by a 4.4 kW (6 bhp) BLDC hub motor generating 140 Nm of peak torque.
In terms of performance, the iQube can reach a top speed of 78 km/h. It comes equipped with modern features such as a 5-inch TFT screen with connected technology and turn-by-turn navigation in the STD variant. On the other hand, the iQube S variant sports a larger 7-inch touchscreen display with a 5-way joystick for controls.

Following this price revision for the TVS iQube, it is expected that similar adjustments may be made to other electric two-wheelers in the market. The TVS iQube competes with notable models like the Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, Hero Vida V1 and the upcoming Ather Rizta in the electric scooter segment.
