iQOO has launched a special “anniversary edition” of the iQOO 12 to mark its four year anniversary in India. The special edition model comes in red — or Desert Red in iQOO’s marketing parlance — and will be available for sale starting from April 9 (12 PM). Pricing is same as the existing alpha and legend editions, i.e., Rs 52,999 for 12GB/256GB and Rs 57,999 for 16GB/512GB.

The iQOO 12 red variant has a vegan leather finish unlike the alpha and legend editions that come with a glass back. FYI, this is not the only “red” coloured phone in iQOO’s portfolio at the time of writing. iQOO also sells the relatively more affordable iQOO Neo 9 Pro in a standout dual-tone red and white finish. The iQOO 12 being a flagship model, competes with other flagships like the OnePlus 12 and Samsung Galaxy S24.
iQOO 12: Specs, features
The iQOO 12 has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K (2800x1260p) resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The panel can peak 1400nits in sunny outdoors and up to 3000nits when playing HDR content. You get 2160Hz PWM dimming and an in-screen fingerprint reader for biometrics.

Powering the iQOO 12 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 storage. Running the show is Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 with a guarantee of three years of major OS and four years of security updates.

The iQOO 12 has a triple camera setup which is a combination of two 50-megapixel and 64-megapixel sensors sitting behind a 23mm wide (with optical image stabilisation), 150-dgree ultrawide, and 70mm periscope-style telephoto (for 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom). The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel.
Rounding off the package is a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging.
