If you’re a new user or looking to enable additional features on your State Bank of India (SBI) debit card, such as international transactions or online purchases, you’ll need to go through a simple activation process.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you activate your SBI debit card for various transactions using the YONO SBI App:

Login to YONO SBI App: Start by logging into the YONO SBI App using your MPIN or user ID and password. This will grant you access to your account and various services.
Navigate to Service Request: Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Quick Links’ section on the home page and proceed to ‘Service Request’. This section houses various card-related services.
Select ATM/Debit Card: Choose the ‘ATM/Debit Card’ option to proceed with card-related services. You may be prompted to enter your Internet Banking profile password for security.
Manage Cards: After successful authentication, select the ‘Manage Cards’ option. This allows you to control different aspects of your debit card.
Choose Account and Debit Card: From the drop-down menu, select the specific account and debit card you wish to manage. This ensures that changes apply to the correct card.
Manage Usage: Once the card is selected, navigate to the ‘Manage Usage’ section. Here, you will have options to toggle various functionalities on or off.
Activate International Usage: To enable international transactions, simply drag the toggle to the right to allow international usage with your debit card.

Confirm with OTP: After making changes, confirm the action by entering the one-time OTP sent to your registered mobile number. This adds an extra layer of security to the process.
Confirmation SMS: Upon successful activation, you will receive a confirmation SMS to notify you that the changes have been applied.
Additionally, if you wish to activate your SBI debit card for online transactions or e-commerce purchases, you can follow a similar process via the YONO SBI App. In Step 6, instead of toggling international usage, you can toggle e-commerce transactions to enable online purchases.
