The company has already included one of the most anticipated additions, the edit message tool, for individuals who send mistyped or incorrect messages to the wrong chatbox.
For those unaware, other platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram already offer edit message features. On the other hand, Messenger only allows users to edit messages in the first 15 minutes. The feature is already available for iOS and Android devices. If you are not able to use this feature, make sure you have the latest version of the application on your phone.

How Edit Messages On Facebook Messenger:
Editing the message is a simple process. Users will need to navigate to a specific chat and long-press the message they want to update. After that, tap on the edit button and make any necessary adjustments to the messages. Users can change the messages up to five times. After you make the adjustments, the word ‘Edited’ will be underlined beneath the message. Keep in mind that you can only edit messages for 15 minutes after they are sent. Also, if someone reports your changed messages, the user will see the original message.
