Sunil Grover reveals that his comeback feels like ‘homecoming’ as he enjoys working with Kapil Sharma and his team.
Sunil Grover has opened up about his fight with Kapil Sharma and joked that it was “a publicity stunt” they did for Netflix long before the streaming giant set foot in India. The duo has reunited after seven years for The Great Indian Kapil Show. Ahead of the show’s premiere, Kapil and Sunil sat down for a press conference and addressed the infamous fight. Sunil poked fun at their now-ended feud and said that it was all pre-planned years ago.

“We were seated on the flight and we learnt that Netflix was coming to India. So, kuch aisa ho ke (acha) publicity stunt ho,” Sunil said, poking fun at his and Kapil’s fight.
Sunil even joked that Netflix India had called them to ask what could be done and thus, this idea came to them.
Kapil further said that Sunil was also busy with a number of projects. He was doing several series and projects so we couldn’t reunite, Kapil revealed. Sunil then said that his comeback felt like homecoming as he enjoyed working with Kapil and his team.
The teasers have already revealed that Sunil will be returning as Gutthi. In the first episode, he will be seen teasing Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.

Sunil Grover became a household name after playing popular fictional characters Gutthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati on The Kapil Sharma Show, but the actor-comedian shocked everyone when he quit The Kapil Sharma Show after his major fallout with Kapil. In October 2017, the two actor-comedians had a fallout in a flight when they were flying back to Mumbai after wrapping up a show in Australia. Multiple media reports alleged that Kapil was under the influence during the altercation and hit Sunil. Following this alleged incident, Sunil quit The Kapil Sharma Show.
