50% Salary Hike Expected For Employees With These Skills In 2024, Says Report; Know More Over Here

The report  named Accelerating AI Skills: Preparing the Asia-Pacific Workforce for Jobs of the Future did a survey of 1,600 workers and 500 employers in India.

Workers in India who are trained with AI skills and have knowledge of it, may soon receive salary hikes of more than 54 per cent along with those in IT and research and development who enjoy the highest pay increases, states a report by Amazon Web Services (AWS). 

The report added that around 99 per cent of employers predicted or planned that their companies will become AI-driven organizations by 2028.

Which Department To Get Benefits Of A.I.

97 per cent of the employers think that their finance department will get highest beneficiary, 96% also also think research and development, sales and marketing can be the beneficiary, business operations (95 per cent), human resources (94 percent), and legal (92 per cent) departments are also getting better value in AI, according to the report.

About 98 per cent among the surveyed employers and workers expect to use generative AI tools on the job within the next five years, while 73 percent of employers highlight ‘increasing innovation and creativity’ as the top benefit.

What Is Amazon Web Services (AWS) Report?

The report  named Accelerating AI Skills: Preparing the Asia-Pacific Workforce for Jobs of the Future did a survey of 1,600 workers and 500 employers in India.

Amit Mehta, Head of AWS Training and Certification, AWS India, said that  at AWS, they are helping organizations like Wipro, L&T Technology Services, Iris Software, and others, to upskill their employees to prepare for a future powered by generative AI.

Amazon Web Services Results

The research also found the skill gap in AI and stated that More than 96 per cent) employers prioritize hiring AI-skilled talent in the country, however 79 percent among them can’t find the AI talent they need. Therefore the report finds a greater need for collaboration between governments, industries, and educators.

There is a excitement of an AI future among workers also, around 95 per cent of workers in India showed an interest in developing AI skills to accelerate their careers, and this interest transcends generations, stated the report.

“95% of Gen Z, 96% of Millennials, and 93% of Gen X workers want to acquire AI skills, while 90 per cent of baby boomers — a demographic usually contemplating retirement — say they would enroll in an AI upskilling course if it was offered.”
