Eligibility CriteriaCentral and State Government employees, including officials and bureaucrats undergoing regular transfers, are eligible for BH number plates. Similarly, defence personnel benefit from the mobility offered by these plates, aligning with the dynamic nature of military service.
Additionally, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) employees and private company employees working in firms with operations across at least four states or union territories qualify for BH series plates.

The dealerships will then initiate the application procedure on the Vahan portal, streamlining the process for the buyers. Existing vehicle owners can also apply for BH plates directly through the Vahan portal by submitting requisite documents, including proof of eligibility and vehicle records.
Cost and SavingsThe cost of acquiring a BH series number plate is tied to the ex-showroom price of the vehicle, ranging from 6 percent for electric vehicles to 12 percent for petrol or diesel cars priced above Rs 20 lakh.
