West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday thanked all the political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for wishing her a speedy recovery after she suffered ‘major injuries’ due to a fall inside a room at her residence at Kalighat in south Kolkata. Banerjee was later discharged from the hospital and was allowed to go back home following preliminary treatment.
Going all out on thanking spree, Mamata Banerjee after returning home started thanking all leaders who wished her a speeding recovery on X (formerly Twitter). The development came after leaders belonging to various political parties expressed their concerns over Mamata’s health after an image of the West Bengal Chief Minister with injuries on her forehead and nose was shared by TMC from its official handle.
Thanking each leader individually on the micro-blogging platform, Mamata Banerjee showed her gratitude and thanked them for their warm wishes. Responding to PM Modi’s wishes, Mamata took to X and wrote, “Grateful for your prayers and good wishes, PM Narendra Modi ji. Thank you.”

Similarly, the TMC Supremo also thanked Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Himanta Biswa Sarma, MK Stalin, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, N Chandrababu Naidu, Vishnu Deo Sai and Arvind Kejriwal for their concerns regarding her health.

MAMATA BANERJEE SUFFERS ‘MAJOR INJURY’ AFTER FALL
West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee suffered a bleeding injury on her forehead on Thursday evening after she fell inside a room at her residence at Kalighat in south Kolkata.
Banerjee was admitted to Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial (SSKM) Hospital in Kolkata. Later, she was shifted to the Bangur Institute of Neurosciences at the IPGME&R – SSKM Hospital Centre in Kolkata for treatment.
The hospital director informed further that doctors administered three stitches on her forehead and another on the nose. She was discharged from the hospital after her condition was stable.
