Although the company has not provided an official date, recent code for Vision Pro spotted by Mac Rumors suggests that Apple is paving the way for a virtual keyboard, further hinting towards the device’s availability in more countries.
According to the report, the latest code of Vision Pro hints that Apple will soon add 12 new languages to the virtual keyboard, providing a glimpse of what to expect for the product’s international expansion. Currently, the Apple Vision Pro keyboard only supports English (US) and Emoji, which aligns with its limited availability to the United States. To bring the Vision Pro to new countries, Apple needs to add support for additional languages, and it appears they are doing just that. The code suggests that, as noted by MacRumors, visionOS code implies that the virtual keyboard and autocorrect will soon be compatible with languages including:
Cantonese, Traditional
Chinese, Simplified
English (Australia)
English (Canada)
English (Japan)
English (Singapore)
English (UK)
French (Canada)
French (France)
German (Germany)

While this expansion of language support doesn’t guarantee an immediate rollout to all mentioned regions, it strongly supports the possibility of Apple‘s preparations for introducing Vision Pro to markets such as Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, and South Korea.
Meanwhile, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier reported that Apple’s initial rollout was limited to the US because the company wanted to ensure that the sales process in the US was smooth, as the product requires buyers to find their ideal fit and prescription lenses. However, according to Kuo, Apple is not settling for one country and aims to broaden availability ahead of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2024, facilitating greater engagement with developers through the anticipated visionOS 2 update.
Interestingly, Apple hosts WWDC every year around mid-year, typically around June, so we can expect the availability of Vision Pro in more countries before June.
As for the US market, Apple has made the Vision Pro available starting from February 2. This new VR headset marks Apple’s first foray into wearable headset devices, providing an immersive mixed reality experience. The Vision Pro is currently priced at $3,499 in the US.Â
As one of Apple’s premium offerings, it has a number of impressive features including high-resolution 4K micro OLED displays with a staggering 23 million pixels combined, eye and gesture tracking for intuitive navigation and control, and a whopping twelve cameras for capturing stunning 3D photos and videos. Additionally, built-in spatial audio creates a realistic soundscape, further enhancing the immersive experience. Security is top-notch with Optic ID iris scanning for secure authentication.
