In a move to expand the electric lineup, the two-wheeler giant TVS is all set to introduce the popular range XL 100 moped in EV avatar. It has been reported that the company has already filed the trademark application under the name TVS E-XL and the TVS XL EV.
However, the brand has not revealed any official details about the same yet. But, reports suggested that it will make an official announcement soon. It has been speculated that a battery-powered moped will hit the market with a higher price tag compared to ICE models and will feature some robust features and good range.

Meanwhile, the segment has only one electric moped in sale in India named Kinetic E Luna. The vehicle comes with a price tag between Rs 64,990 – Rs 74,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is offered in two variants, featuring different battery setups. It either can be purchased with a 1.2 kW electric motor or 2 kWh battery setup. The e-scooter is available in five colour options – Sparkling Green, Night Star Black, Ocean Blue, Pearl Yellow and Mulberry Red.
