OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its latest mid-range 5G smartphone, the OnePlus Nord CE 4, in India on April 1. The company has confirmed the launch date and teased key features of the device. Amid speculation about the Nord 4 or Nord 5, OnePlus is preparing to launch a new phone in the Nord CE series, targeting the mid-range market segment. The move was quite predictable, considering the high-end premium handsets were recently released in the market. So, the company was expected to now focus on the Nord series phones.
With the OnePlus Nord CE4, the company claims that one can expect good performance and power out of the box. The upcoming OnePlus phone is confirmed to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. The brand is quite confident about its new offering and is vouching for the experience that consumers will get.
It says “This latest generation of processors from the Snapdragon 7 series uses minimal power to give you a fast and smooth performance for better battery life.” The company is asserting that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip will improve CPU performance by 15 per cent and GPU performance by 50 per cent while also offering a 20 per cent improvement in power saving compared to Nord CE 4’s predecessor.
Moreover, OnePlus also asserts that no compromises have been made on the user experience or design. “Whether you’re streaming your favourite content, multitasking between apps, or conquering the latest mobile games, the OnePlus Nord CE4 rises to the occasion, empowering you to do more, achieve more, and be more,” OnePlus said.
The OnePlus Nord CE 4 seemingly has three cameras at the back, something that the teaser image suggests. The rear panel design is a bit different from the Nord CE 3. There are now three camera modules instead of two big units. Thankfully, they don’t seem to protrude much. The device appears to have a slim profile and looks cool in the new greenish colour. It will be available in two colour options, Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble. The latter features a texture-based design inspired by the special edition of OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey. The rest of the details regarding the device are currently under wraps.
But, the company is expected to tease more features in the coming weeks before the OnePlus Nord CE 4 event. To recall, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 was launched last year with a starting price of Rs 26,999. The next-generation model is also expected to be priced under Rs 30,000 in the country.
