Mahtari Vandan Yojna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually launched Chhattisgarh’s ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojna’ by transferring the first instalment of Rs 655 crore 57 lakh to the eligible women in their accounts.
“Every month you will get the money (Rs 1,000) in your bank accounts without any hassle and I am giving you this guarantee because I have faith in the double-engine govt of Chhattisgarh,” Said PM.
Mahtari Vandan Yojna scheme was earlier announced by the Chhattisgarh government to provide financial assistance of Rs 1,000 to married women in the state. The scheme also covers widowed, divorced and abandoned women who are above 21 years of age.

Mahtari Vandan Scheme Chhattisgarh: Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a woman.
- She should be a resident of Chhattisgarh.
- The applicant must be over the age of 21 on January 1, 2024.

How To Apply For the Mahtari Vandan Scheme?
- To register and apply online for this scheme, no fee is required in any form. The application process is entirely free.
- Download the application form given on the scheme website mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in.
- Afterwards, click on Public Login on the portal, where you need to upload all your documents, and these documents must be submitted to the nearest centre.
- If you are unable to submit the form online, contact the respective Gram Panchayat/Ward Office/Anganwadi Center in your area. They will assist you in submitting the form online. Once the form is submitted, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number.

While launching the scheme PM Modi reiterated the promise of making at least 3 crore women Lakhpati Didi in future.
In the last 10 years, our government has transformed the lives of more than 10 crore women in self-help groups. More than one crore women have become ‘Lakhpati Didi’…Now we have resolved to make 3 crore ‘Lakhpati Didi’,” PM said.
“Before elections, many parties make many big promises. They promise to bring stars from the sky for you, but a party with clean intentions like the BJP fulfils the promises. Hence after forming the government, we fulfilled the promise of ‘Mahatari Vandana Yojana’. I congratulate CM Vishnu Deo Sai and his team…” PM added.
