Realme 12 series 5G launched in India today. The line-up is headlined by the Realme 12 Plus which brings a fast 120Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050, and 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

The Realme 12 is a relatively more affordable phone boasting of almost the same look and feel, 120Hz screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus, and a 108-megapixel main camera.
Both Realme 12 series 5G phones run Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 and feature IP54 rated chassis. The Realme 12 also packs Realme capsule, iPhone’s dynamic island like notification system. Both have dual speakers and 5G. The Realme 12 starts at Rs 16,999 while the Realme 12 Plus starts at Rs 20,999.

The Realme 12 Plus comes in a choice of 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB at a price of Rs 20,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively. The Realme 12 comes in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB trims for Rs 16,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.Realme says the “first sale” for the Realme 12 series 5G phones will start from March 6 through March 10 across Realme online, Flipkart, and mainline channels.

The Realme 12 Plus has a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Rainwater tech is available to prevent ghost touches when handling with wet hands. The Realme 12 Plus comes in beige and green. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor and 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

For photography, the Realme 12 Plus has a triple camera setup on the rear headlined by an 50-megapixel primary Sony Lyt-600 sensor with f/1.8 lens, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and another 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 16-megapixel. Connectivity options include 5G, 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. Running the show is Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. The phone is eligible for two major OS and three years of security updates.
