The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received an order from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Ltd) for setting up the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2×800 MW) in Sonebhadra district, Uttar Pradesh.

The notification of the award was issued on Tuesday. It was an international competitive bidding.
Talking about time frame, Completion of Facilities (COF) for Unit 1 should be done in 50 months and for Unit 2 by 54 months.The size of the contract is more than Rs 9,500 crores excluding GST.

Both BHEL and NTPC, are Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
