Importantly, this feature has been available on other platforms where WhatsApp is present, such as iOS, Mac, and even WhatsApp Web.
Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced the same on his WhatsApp channel. “When you realize you’ve got the perfect response in an old chat…” he said, while sharing across a video of an old Karaoke video. “Credit to WhatsApp’s new search by date feature,” he added.
It’s important to note that this feature is limited to searching for a chat on a specific date, and this means if you want to search for a chat in a certain date range, you can’t do so.

How To Use the ‘Search by Date’ Feature
1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
2. Now, look for the personal or group chat you want to search for the specific message in.
3. Look for the Search option in the profile section.
4. Now, you will see a Calendar icon. Tap on it.
5. You can choose a particular date here to search for a message.

That’s it. Any message you sent on that date should now be visible to you, saving you effort, and, most importantly, time to go through loads and loads of messages.
