NEW DELHI: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issues the Aadhaar card to all residents of India. The 12-digit identification number serves as proof of identity and address anywhere in the country.
To ensure the authenticity of Aadhaar, it is important to keep it verified and updated.
The new digitally signed QR code can only be read using UIDAI’s mAadhaar app or UIDAI-approved QR code scanning apps for smartphones, available on Google Play Store, Apple Store, and Windows-based applications.
