NEW DELHI: The Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme, launched under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882, aims to provide financial security to employees upon retirement through contributions from both employers and employees. Administered by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), the scheme entails employees contributing a portion of their salary to their PF account, accessible upon retirement, resignation, or to their family in case of the employee’s demise.
Given contemporary concerns regarding online fraud and security breaches, EPFO mandates all working professionals to update their KYC (Know Your Customer) details. This update fosters regulatory compliance and also facilitates seamless transactions and expedites claim settlements, thus enhancing the efficiency of the EPF system.
Here is a comprehensive guide on how to update EPF KYC online in 2024.
