Amid the ongoing strict emission laws in India, the leading car manufacturer Honda is left with limited products in the portfolio. The list includes the latest City, newly launched Elevate, and the ongoing generation model Amaze, which is soon to receive a major update later this year.

It has been reported that the company is gearing up to introduce the next-generation avatar of Amaze. However, the exact period of the launch is not known yet. But, some reports say it might come as a big surprise in the market.
If rumors are to be believed, the entry-level sub-4 meter sedan will come with some major updates. It also has been reported that the model might drop its current platform and is expected to be built on the City’s one with a smaller wheelbase. However, the company is yet to share official details about the same.

The car is likely to dominate the segment with a fresh style statement, flaunting a better road appearance. Some reports even suggested that Honda might put extra effort into the rear design as it gets a lot of criticism from potential customers.

Sharing the DNAs of Accord, the updated avatar is likely to be equipped with a fully LED headlight system, better-looking DRLs, new front grills, a revamped bumper design, and some minor updates from the side profile. To make the vehicle more affordable, the brand might miss out on some trending features such as ADAS, sunroof, and fully digital instrument cluster among others.

Engine Options
As far as the engine is concerned, it will continue to be powered by a 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol unit, which will generate a max output of 88 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. The unit will mated with either a 5-speed MT or CVT gearbox.
