Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of 553 railway stations as part of the Amrit Bharat scheme on Monday (February 26), aiming to improve amenities with rooftop plazas and city centre enhancements. This virtual event will span over 2,000 railway stations and sites, also marking the opening of about 1,500 road overbridges and underbridges in different states.
Additionally, the inauguration and foundation stone laying for road overbridges (ROB) and road underbridges (RUB) will also take place. Major stations in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and Punjab are included in this initiative.

Furthermore, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh each have 33 stations, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan each have 21 stations, Jharkhand has 27 stations, Haryana has 15 stations, Punjab and Uttarakhand each have three stations, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have one station each slated for redevelopment.
