NEW DELHI: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 hit the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, as reported by the National Center for Seismology.

The earthquake occurred at 11:48 am and had a depth of 5 km and the exact location of the earthquake was confirmed to be in Ladakh with the coordinates of Latitude: 33.34 and Longitude: 76.84.
In a post on X, NCS said, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.0, Occurred on 25-02-2024, 11:48:00 IST, Lat: 33.34 & Long: 76.84, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Ladakh, India.”

According to NCS, Earlier an earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale shook the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday at 6:36 am.
