The Range Rover Velar is available in both petrol and diesel powertrains as a fully loaded single variant.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has slashed the prices of the Range Rover Velar by Rs 6.40 lakh bringing the price down to Rs 87.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The Velar is available in two engine options and both come in a single trim. Hence, the price of both the petrol and diesel Velar is Rs 87.90 lakh. JLR launched the Velar last year in July at Rs 94.30 lakh, ex-showroom. The Velar goes up against BMW X5, Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Porsche Macan.

Range Rover Velar: Engine Specs
JLR launched only one variant of both the petrol and diesel versions of the Velar in India. The 2-litre diesel comes with a mild hybrid and has a total output is 201bhp and 430Nm of torque. It does 0-100 kmph in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 210 kmph. The 2-litre petrol, on the other hand, produces 247bhp and 365Nm, has a top speed of 217 kmph and does 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system.

Range Rover Velar: Features
As mentioned earlier, the Velar is only available in a single trim. Therefore, the Range Rover SUV comes packed with features like an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen, 12-speaker Meridian music system, 360-degree camera, Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite and electric air suspension. In terms of design, the Velar sports Pixel LED headlights, flush door handles, a hidden tailpipe for improved aerodynamics and a fixed panoramic roof.
