Delhi has experienced five rainy days in February so far and this trend is expected to continue for the next two days, the IMD has said. The city recorded no rainy days in February last year.
India Meteorological Department has predicted an intense spell of rainfall and snowfall activity over the Western Himalayan region and light to moderate rainfall activity likely over the plains of Northwest India today.
As per the weather agency, hailstorm activity is very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand today.
Delhi to witness partly cloudy conditions
The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of very light rain or drizzle at night and gusty winds in the national capital today. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 26 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively, IMD stated.
On Tuesday, Delhi recorded the maximum temperature at 28.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, whereas the minimum temperature settled at 14.7 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.

Rainfall in parts of the country
Scattered light to moderate rainfall is predicted in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh till February 22, IMD mentioned.
States like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and parts of the northeast including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura will witness rainy conditions until Feb 22.
Isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on February 22.

Minimum temperature forecast
As per IMD, no significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over northwest India and adjoining central India during the next 24 hours and fall by 2-3 °C after that.
