New Delhi: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is a statutory body established under the Employees’ Provident Fund Act, of 1956. The inception of the Employees’ Provident Fund dates back to the promulgation of the Employees’ Provident Funds Ordinance on November 15, 1951, which was later replaced by the Employees’ Provident Funds Act, 1952.
To file an e-nomination on the EPFO member ID online, it is mandatory to have a profile photo. Attempting to file an e-nomination without a profile photo on the EPFO member ID will result in an error message stating “unable to proceed.” Adding a profile picture in the EPF UAN portal enhances the appearance and simplifies the process.
