The tech giant seems to be using SongShift, an iOS-only third-party service that lets users migrate their music collection and playlists from one streaming service to another and is available as a standalone app on iOS.

According to reports on Reddit, some Apple Music users who are on the beta version of the Android app are seeing a new prompt in the app called ‘Transfer Music from Other Services’ that asks users if they want to “Add saved music and playlists you made in other music services to your Apple Music library.”

The option to transfer library is also available in the app Settings as of now.

SongShift is a free app available on the Apple App Store that lets users transfer their music collection and playlists between different music streaming platforms like Apple Music, Amazon Music, LastFM, Napster, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube to name a few.

However, user reports suggest that the functionality is still in the early stages of development and is now working as intended, so we might have to wait a while before it is available to everyone. Moreover, it is still unclear if the feature will be ported over to Apple Music on iOS devices since the tech giant likes to keep the features the same on both platforms.
