Round-the-clock preparations have been underway for the big gathering at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
The last of such meetings took place at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi in 2019. In a first, the party is calling this meeting its national convention.
The two-day affair will begin with party president JP Nadda chairing a meeting of the office bearers. The national office bearers include the party’s vice president, national general secretary, national secretaries, and national spokesperson. This meeting will also include state presidents and morcha chiefs of various factions.

The main meeting will begin at around 3pm with Nadda’s opening address. On Sunday, the conclave will end with an address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Usually, BJP meetings like these are closed-door discussions but since this is a council meeting, the addresses of both Nadda and PM Modi will be telecast live. The address by BJP’s top brass is extremely important in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as it will give a roadmap to party leaders.
During the two-day summit, three resolutions will be brought in by the party. One is the political resolution highlighting the political success of the party, especially the recent state election wins of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The economic resolution of the party is expected to focus on the economic success of the Modi government. Just like what was witnessed in Parliament recently, there will be another resolution to thank PM Modi for building the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

A senior minister in the Modi government will also be making a detailed presentation on the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aimed at connecting crores of people with benefits of the Union government schemes. Some states are also expected to make a presentation about their performance in the recent months during the meeting.
The prime minister had declared in Parliament recently that the BJP will win 370 seats in the 2024 polls while the NDA will get 400. This meeting is hence expected to provide party leaders and cadres with a roadmap to achieve the historic victory.
