Unexpected revelations have surfaced in Telugu circles regarding the release of Rajinikanth’s film Lal Salaam. The film premiered in theatres today. Directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, the film features Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in prominent roles.

Rajinikanth will have an extended role in the upcoming movie Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth. Recent reports suggest that Rajinikanth demanded a significant fee for his extended cameo. According to these reports, Rajinikanth’s role in Lal Salaam will last between 30 to 40 minutes and he negotiated his fee based on per-minute charges.
The film has generated anticipation among audiences in Tamil Nadu, thanks to the promotional activities of the film crew. Lal Salaam is set for its premiere in Tamil Nadu, distributed by Red Giants Movies.
Billed as a sports drama, Lal Salaam also features Kapil Dev in a key role. Aishwarya highlighted the film’s sensitive subject matter and recognised that only someone with profound humanity, such as her father, would agree to be involved in such a project.
The movie, produced by Subaskaran for Lyca Productions, boasts AR Rahman as the music composer and Vishnu Rangasamy as the cinematographer. Lal Salaam, initially set for a Sankranthi release, was rescheduled to avoid clashes with multiple Tamil and Telugu film launches.
Some time back, ahead of its release, Lal Salaam faced obstacles in Kuwait, reportedly facing a ban. Kuwait has a history of prohibiting films containing perceived anti-Muslim content.
Rajinikanth is set to appear in TJ Gnanavel’s upcoming movie Vettaiyan. The recent release of the title teaser intrigued fans about his role in the film. Alongside Rajinikanth, notable actors like Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati and Amitabh Bachchan are also part of the cast. Besides this, he also has a project directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
