South Korean giant Samsung is all set to introduce the Galaxy Ring soon. The first hints of the device were showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event when the company teased the finger accessory without revealing any significant details. The company kept the specifications, launch date and price of the Galaxy Ring under wraps, and the world only witnessed the design of the gadget.

However, the launch of the Galaxy Ring is reportedly set to materialise this year, a Samsung official confirmed the update on LinkedIn, according to SamMobile. While the post stands deleted now, the report citing Daniel Seung Lee, Global Head of B2B Wearable/IoT/Accessory PM and Partnership of the company stated that the “new health and wellness wearable product” may arrive in the “2nd half” of this year.
Considering the rich showcase at the first Unpacked, the company may announce the Ring at its next Galaxy Unpacked event this year at the launch of the next Galaxy Z series foldables. For context, the Galaxy foldables are usually launched at an event in July or September every year.

Galaxy Ring will likely offer a dedicated health suite with Samsung Health integration and may prove to be a potential choice for buyers who may not prefer a Galaxy Watch for health monitoring or aim to complement its experience. It may offer better fitness tracking due to its firm fit in the wearer’s finger. Recently, the wearable was spotted on Good Lock app’s battery widget section. These are among the recent hints that developments around the device are underway.
