The Indian Railways has informed that as many as 22 trains to Delhi are running late on Sunday (January 14) due to the dense fog.
Delhi and other parts of North India persist in facing cold wave conditions, as temperatures remain below 3-4 degrees Celsius at various weather stations on Saturday. Widespread dense fog prevails in the national capital and surrounding areas, leading to prolonged delays in passenger train services and causing inconvenience for travelers.
Several train services were impacted due to dense fog in Delhi. The Indian Railways has informed that as many as 22 trains to Delhi are running late on Sunday (January 14) due to the dense fog.
“22 trains to Delhi from various parts of the country are running late due to dense fog conditions as on 14th January,” News Agency ANI said in a tweet.

Cold wave in Delhi
The national capital has been experiencing cold day conditions for the past few weeks. Delhi experienced its chilliest night of the season on Saturday, recording a minimum temperature of 3.6 degrees Celsius, as per IMD reports. The previous Friday had seen a slightly higher minimum temperature at 3.9 degrees Celsius.

Saturday’s maximum temperature settled at 18.1 degrees Celsius, registering two notches below the season’s average. The minimum temperature for the day dipped to 3.6 degrees Celsius, marking a four-notch deviation below the season’s average, according to the IMD.
With the cold spell expected to persist, the weather department forecasts a cold wave for Sunday, projecting maximum and minimum temperatures around 19 and 4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
