Mahindra, a prominent player in the Indian automotive industry, has launched the highly anticipated XUV400 Pro electric SUV in India, introducing a range of updates and new features across its variants.
The latest line-up includes the EC Pro, EL Pro (34.5 kWh) and EL Pro (39.4 kWh) versions, with prices commencing at an attractive Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

PRICING, BOOKINGS AND DELIVERIES
The introductory prices for the XUV400 Pro range are set to be applicable for deliveries until May 31, 2024.
Bookings for the XUV400 Pro series will commence today at 2 PM, and interested buyers will be able to secure their vehicle with a booking amount of Rs 21,000.
Deliveries are scheduled to kick off on February 1, 2024.
KEY UPDATES AND FEATURES
The XUV400 Pro electric SUV debuts with a host of updates, primarily focusing on the dashboard and the introduction of new features.
Notably, the vehicle remains mechanically unchanged and does not undergo major styling updates. The updated range will be available alongside the outgoing version.

DASHBOARD REDESIGN AND NEW FEATURES
The most striking update to the XUV400 Pro is the introduction of a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, necessitating a significant redesign of the dashboard.
Notable changes include the repositioning of the AC vents to underline the new touchscreen, resulting in a fresh layout compared to the outgoing model.
Additionally, the HVAC panel has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring two rotary dials and a new digital MID, alongside revised switchgear.
INTERIOR AND TECHNOLOGY ENHANCEMENTS
The interior of the XUV400 Pro has undergone a transformation, featuring a new black-and-beige dual-tone theme and subtle copper accents, complemented by a flat-bottom steering wheel and an all-new 10.25-inch digital screen.
The infotainment system now runs on Adrenox software, offering improved functionality, while the inclusion of dual-zone climate control with a memory function, wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa connectivity, rear USB ports, and rear AC vents significantly elevate the in-cabin experience.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE
Despite no mechanical updates, the EC Pro and EL Pro variants are powered by a front axle-mounted electric motor, delivering 150hp and 310Nm of torque.
Both variants come with disc brakes for all four wheels, regenerative braking and three drive modes, offering a compelling driving experience.
The EC Pro is equipped with a 34.5kWh battery, while the EL Pro is available with either a 34.5kWh or 39.4kWh battery, providing claimed ranges of 375km and 456km, respectively, on the MIDC cycle.
