The Delhi government is set to acknowledge outstanding School Management Committees (SMCs) at its annual Excellence in Education Awards.

The criteria for the ‘School with Best Management Committee Award’ include evaluating the impact on student attendance and the prudent utilisation of funds.
Schools aspiring for this recognition must submit applications through the Head of School by January 2, 2024.
The assessment for the award will consider the performance of the applicants during the academic session 2022-23.

Delhi Education Minister Atishi emphasised the pivotal role of SMCs in enhancing parental participation and outlined the evaluation parameters, including judicious fund usage, counselling, ensuring school safety, and community service.
