The German-based car maker Mercedes-Benz is all set to release the facelift avatar of GLS in India on January 8. It has been reported that the company might share price details of the updated SUV at the launch event.
The flagship SUV, which debuted in April this year, will receive some of noticeable updates from both exterior and interior. It will hit the Indian market with a bolder and better road appearance. Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift Major Updates
Talking about the big changes, the king-size SUV will come with a redesigned bumper, updated LED headlight setup, new front grilles, and high-gloss black surrounds, among others. It will also feature an updated rear section, helping the vehicle to flaunt an improved styling and road appearance.
The updated avatar will run on brand-new 20-inch wheels, which will make it look wilder than ever.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift Interrior
When it comes to the interior, it is an area where the customers will get to see a long list of updates. Starting from first, the facelift will get new upholstery, and an updated dashboard, and will include some robust features. The company will feature Mercedes’s MBUX infotainment system, featuring three display modes.
To provide better safety and an improved view, the vehicle will offer a bigger parking package. It will be equipped with a 360-degree view camera, which will work at low speed and offroad mode as well, providing a sharp view of multiple views of surroundings, including underneath the front bumper.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift Powerstrain
Going by the rumors, it seems like the brand has not touched anything from the mechanical part. The facelift avatar might continue to offer the ongoing powertrain, which is a 3.0-litre diesel engine, generating a max power of 549 bhp at 6000-6500rpm and 730Nm at 2500-4500rpm. The unit will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
