No cold wave expected for next 2-3 days
IMD scientist Naresh Kumar stated that the current temperature in northwest India is normal, but it is expected to decrease by approximately one to two degrees in the next two days and by two to three degrees in East India. Kumar claimed that no cold wave is expected in northwest India for the next two to three days.
Kumar mentioned the presence of a cloud patch in Jammu and Kashmir caused by the western disturbance, leading to widespread rainfall and snowfall in the region. The official noted that although another western disturbance is forecasted to impact northwest India from December 22, it is not expected to bring significant changes to the plains. As a result, normal temperatures are anticipated.
