Realme has announced the Realme C67 5G in India, hours before Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi 13C 5G in the country. The two smartphones will battle it out to be top-choice for budget-conscious buyers looking to switch to 5G. Realme calls its product the “real 5G democratiser” especially highlighting the fact that the Realme C67 5G will be its first C-series 5G phone. It will be a follow-up to the Realme C55.

Clearly in a bid to steal Xiaomi’s thunder, Realme has revealed the full design of its Redmi 13C 5G challenger ahead of launch. The design scheme seems familiar, on the lines of its recent launches like the Realme 11 and Realme Narzo 60x. The design is being marketed as “sunny oasis”. The core specs like underlying processor are under the wraps at the time of writing though Realme has confirmed that the phone will support 33W fast charging.

The Redmi 13C 5G, which is launching in India today, is making its global debut in the country. The smartphone is confirmed to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus processor, same as the Realme 11 and Realme Narzo 60x. It will come in a choice of three colours and sport a single 50-megapixel camera on the back. Xiaomi is also launching a 4G-only variant alongside, which is expected to have very similar hardware except for a different chip and an extra camera. Watch this space for more updates.
