Making the Jimny more affordable for customers, Maruti Suzuki India has introduced the Thunder edition of the off-roader. The Jimny Thunder edition is priced Rs 2 lakh lower than the Jimny Zeta.

According to Maruti Suzuki Nexa’s website, the Jimny Thunder edition is available for Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the starting price for a limited period.
There is no official communication from Maruti Suzuki India with regard to the changes in the Jimny Thunder edition.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder edition employs the same K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine, which delivers 105PS of maximum power and 134Nm of peak torque. It gets both 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT options.
The Jimny is based on a ladder frame chassis. It has ALLGRIP PRO 4WD technology with low-range transfer gear (4L mode) as standard.

The Jimny continues to have Zeta and Alpha variants. Below are their prices (ex-showroom).
- Zeta MT – Rs 12.74 lakh
- Zeta AT – Rs 13.94 lakh
- Alpha MT – Rs 13.69 lakh
- Alpha AT – Rs 14.89 lakh
- Alpha MT (Dual Tone) – Rs 13.85 lakh
- Alpha AT (Dual Tone) – Rs 15.05 lakh
