The recent update, however, introduces a refreshing twist as the three-door variant, equipped with a V6 gasoline engine, makes its debut in the United Arab Emirates.
In a departure from the Japanese market’s limited five-door SUV body style, Toyota’s UAE lineup showcases diversity with a single-cab pickup, a five-door SUV and now the three-door variant. Images of a dual-cab pickup from Toyota Australia have also surfaced, suggesting a nearly complete refreshed lineup, with only the Troop Carrier wagon awaiting its unveiling.

While the five-door Land Cruiser appeals to those prioritising practicality, the three-door variant targets off-road enthusiasts seeking a more compact size. Measuring 4,235 mm (166.7 inches) in length, it stands 640 mm (25.2 inches) shorter than its counterpart, offering a nimble alternative for adventurous driving.
The model’s updated styling, reminiscent of the 2024 facelift, pays homage to the original design with round LED headlights, protruding indicators, a chrome-infused bumper, and distinctive blocked taillights. Moreover, the UAE-specific model is furnished with 16-inch alloy wheels enveloped in high-profile rubber tires.

The interior of the UAE-spec model boasts Nubuck and Synthetic Leather upholstery, a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 2-speaker audio setup, and electric windows. The safety features include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like Lane Departure Assist and a Pre-Collision System, accompanied by two front airbags.
In contrast to the Japanese market where only turbodiesel engines are available, buyers in the UAE have access to a single gasoline powertrain option. The 4.0-litre V6 24V Dual VVT-i engine delivers 228 hp and 360 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed Super ECT automatic gearbox and a robust 4WD system.
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series Hardtop 3-Door is offered in a single trim in the United Arab Emirates, starting from AED 169,900 (approximately $46,300). The five-door version begins at AED 179,900 ($49,000), with pricing for the single-cab pickup yet to be announced.
