In a recent development, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has announced a change in the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the Delhi-NCR region, marking a noteworthy shift in fuel costs for motorists. The alteration, effective from November 23, brings with it a one-rupee increase per kilogram of CNG in Delhi, accompanied by varied adjustments in neighbouring areas.
The new CNG rates stand at Rs 75.59 per kilogram in Delhi, reflecting an uptick in the financial commitment for CNG users in the capital. Similarly, Noida has witnessed a price hike, with consumers now required to pay Rs 81.20 for one kilogram of CNG in the region. The surge in prices extends to Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Hapur, where the revised cost settles at Rs 80.20 per kilogram. This adjustment follows a prior move by IGL in July, where CNG prices experienced a decrease, only to witness subsequent alterations in the subsequent month.
Conversely, Rewari in Haryana emerges as an exception to the trend, experiencing a reduction of one rupee in the CNG prices. The revised rate in Rewari is now Rs 81.20 per kilogram, providing a welcome relief to consumers in this specific region.

The latest shift in CNG prices has reignited discussions around safety protocols during refuelling, notably the practice of passengers and drivers exiting the vehicle.
