The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rainfall alerts over the south Peninsular part during the next four days. The weather office has predicted that light to moderate rainfall will occur over parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka. It also predicted that a fresh feeble western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region on Thursday.

- West Bengal and Sikkim: Kolkata will experience partly cloudy sky today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to be around 30 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather is most likely to prevail over Sikkim and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
- Himachal Pradesh: Shimla will experience sunny weather on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 18 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather will prevail in the lower hills, middle hills and the high hills areas. In the past 24 hours, the lowest temperature was recorded in Keylong at (-)2.5 degree Celsius. - Jammu and Kashmir: The dry weather with fog in the morning will prevail over the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Srinagar will experience a mainly clear sky with dense morning fog today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 14 and (-)2 degree Celsius respectively. Jammu will witness maximum and minimum temperatures of 26 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
- Tamil Nadu: The light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning will occur at one or two places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area. The heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts of Tamilnadu. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Theni, Dindigul, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai districts.
