Light to moderate rainfall at numerous locations with isolated heavy rainfall is highly likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala from Nov 19-23.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rainfall spells in parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala for this week. According to the weather forecast by IMD, an isolated heavy rainfall spell is expected to impact Tamil Nadu and Kerala from November 19-23.
The meteorological conditions contributing to this weather pattern include an upper air Cyclonic Circulation positioned over the Comorin area in the lower tropospheric levels. Additionally, strong northeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal towards southeast Peninsular India are prevailing in the lower tropospheric levels.
IMD’s Rainfall Warning

- Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to experience this weather pattern on November 21.
- South Interior Karnataka is likely to encounter these conditions on November 22-23.

Isolated very heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe
The Met Office also added that isolated very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu on November 19, 22 and 23, while Kerala and Mahe may experience similar weather conditions on November 22-23.

Delhi weather prediction
The minimum temperature is likely to settle at 12 degrees Celsius in Delhi on Monday, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 27 degrees Celsius. The IMD has predicted clear sky, and shallow to moderate fog in the coming week.
As per the Met Department’s prediction, the minimum temperature in the national capital is likely to drop as the city is going to witness shallow to moderate fog from November 20 to 25.
