In a move to make the distance shorter from Jaipur to Delhi, and provide energy-efficient options to run on, the government is all set to bring electric cable highways on the route.
While confirming the news, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said the central government has a plan, under which the ministry soon will introduce an electric cable highway, which will provide electric energy to vehicles and make them cover the distance in just two hours.

While referring to the new project, Gadkari said that it will not only save travel time but also reduce the fuel cost by 30 percent bus. He said “When we said that the journey from Delhi to Meerut would be completed in 45 minutes, journalists laughed. Today, people tell me that they come from Meerut to Delhi to eat ice cream. I want to bring the people of Jaipur to eat Delhi’s ice cream and the people of Delhi to eat Jaipur’s Kachori.”
In addition, he said, “This has become possible as the country’s people gave full majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
