This closure follows a weekend already marked by the second Saturday and Sunday holidays, extending the non-operational period for banks in some states to three consecutive days. While specific regions will observe this closure, the distribution of bank holidays varies across the country, with each state adhering to its local festival calendar.
According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, the states observing a bank holiday on Monday, November 13 holiday, include Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Note that the holiday is not expected to interrupt those banking that can be availed at ATMs or via online banking and mobile banking. However, first-time users of online and mobile banking services may need to register on the concerned bank’s website or smartphone application before they avail the facilities.
