Chhat Puja is just around the corner, and people across the country already started rushing to their native places to celebrate the occasion. To keep all the railway traffic under control during the festive season, the East Coast Railway of Indian Railways authorities decided to run a special train on Puri-Patna routes.
Chhat Puja 2023 Special Train
As per the details shared by the officials, the special train with the number 08449 will run on Monday and Wednesday. It will leave the station at 11.30 pm and will arrive at the destination around 2:30 pm. While the return journey will be covered by train 08450, which will leave Patna at 6 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
Special Train Confirmed by East Coast Rail Chief PRO
While confirming the news, East Coast Rail Chief PRO, Biswajit Sahu told the media that “East Coast Railway has arranged two special trains arranged from Puri to Patna, operating on November 13 and 15. We are anticipating a lot of rush & therefore the train has a capacity of 1000, and has 16 coaches. It will return from Patna on November 14 and 16.”
In addition, he said, “The decision has been taken to benefit travelers during the festive season.”

No More Tickets at Anand Vihar railway Station
Meanwhile, Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi has suspended all the ticket selling process as of now. The move has been taken to keep the railway rush under check, ensuring proper crowd management during the festive season.
Northern Railway has confirmed already confirmed the new on Monday. It says the situation will remain the same till November 18.
